Purpose
To quiet the mind, steady the breath, and open space to hear God’s voice through Scripture. This practice supports spiritual maturity by helping you slow down, listen, and respond to God with trust and presence.
1. Settle Into Stillness
Find a comfortable position—seated or standing. Let your shoulders soften. Allow your breath to fall into a natural rhythm.
As you inhale, gently say in your heart: “Lord, I am here.”
As you exhale: “Meet me in this moment.”
Take three slow breaths this way.
2. Scripture Focus
Let this verse anchor your attention:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Read it once more, slowly. Let each phrase land in your body:
Be still.
And know.
That I am.
God.
Pause after each line. Notice what rises—peace, resistance, longing, or quiet. All of it is welcome.
3. Breath Prayer
On your next inhale, pray silently: “Be still…”
On your exhale: “…and know You are God.”
Repeat this for 6–8 breaths, letting the words move with your body. If your mind wanders, gently return to the verse without judgment.
4. Listening Moment
Ask God quietly:
“Lord, what do You want me to know right now?”
Sit in silence for 30–60 seconds. You may sense a word, an image, a reminder, or simply peace. There is no pressure to “hear” anything specific—just rest in His presence.
5. Closing Prayer
“God, thank You for meeting me in stillness. Teach me to trust You more deeply, walk in Your wisdom, and grow in spiritual maturity. Help me carry Your peace into the rest of my day. Amen.”

Morning Guided Practice: Sunrise Breath & Intention I begin with 3 deep belly breaths, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth to reset my body. I then do a short pulse pattern: • Inhale for 4 counts • Hold for 2 counts • Exhale for 6 counts I repeat that cycle for about a minute, letting my mind settle. While breathing, I mentally say: “I arrive in the morning. I meet what is.” I finish with one spoken word to set my intention—like “steady,” “open,” or “ease”—and carry that tone into the rest of the day.
